Although I've never been very much overweight, I did discover at my annual checkup in October that I'd gained 9 pounds since my previous checkup, most of it around my waist.
I have belonged to a gym for years, working out 5 days a week, but clearly I wasn't doing enough to keep my weight where it should be. The past year, to be fair, had been more stressful than most, dealing with an aging parent and short-term injuries. I was both excited and scared about trying MAX workouts – excited that it might actually work for me and scared that I wouldn't be able to change things by following the program.
I am thrilled, however, to have lost ten pounds in about a month, mostly around my waist, which is more than what I'd hoped for. . The main thing is that I'm burning calories, toning and losing weight. I've changed my diet to the lean diet prescribed with MAX Workouts and although it was a bit challenging at first, I've found that it works and has become less difficult to follow, especially when not traveling.
