One of my favorite exercises are the pull ups. It's one of the most functionally challenging exercise you can do. It works a ton of different upper body muscles, including your core and is one of the most effective ways to strengthen your grip which has been correlated with longevity. So you're getting a lot benefits from just one exercise.
Pull ups are typically done on a pull up bar which is a straight bar. However, doing a pull up on a straight bar isn't ergonomically efficient. Technically when you pull yourself up, it's more efficient to have you hands in a slightly pronated position. This is because your shoulders work better when your hands are in that position.
So when Kensui came out with the Kensui Swissies-P V2 MAX Pull Up Handles, I was on eager to try it out. The concept of the handles are simple but effective. The handles can be placed over any straight pull up bar, and it allows your hands to be positioned in better ergonomic position... subtle but effective.
It also helps with your wrist and elbows joints. The subtle change in the hand position takes some of the unnatural strain off your wrist and elbow joints when doing any type of pulling motion, which can help prevent repetitive joint injuries.
